Unique Senior Care first to receive Levy funding

Unique Senior Care is first business to receive ground-breaking Apprenticeship Levy funding

We are delighted to announce that Unique Senior Care has become the first business to be supported by an Apprenticeship Levy transfer from Warwickshire County Council. The £50,000 funding marks the inaugural transfer from the ground-breaking levy, which was introduced last year.

It’s an honour to receive this funding from our local county council, and to be recognised for our work in providing exceptional home care services to older people in their own homes. Being chosen as the first recipient of the Apprenticeship Levy transfer highlights our outstanding reputation in the Warwickshire area, and we will use the funds to further enhance our offering, so we can help more elderly and vulnerable people to live fulfilling lives in their own homes. Specifically, we intend to use the transfer for recruiting and training new staff and upskilling existing employees at our head office in Hatton Rock.

Warwickshire County Council views the levy-sharing facility as an ideal opportunity to support a local business and some of its vulnerable residents, and is among the first local authorities in the country to divert funds in this way. Their ground-breaking levy is a pilot for a new approach that could potentially be rolled out more widely.
