Respite care is simply care needed for a short term period, this can cover everything from expediting a hospital discharge through to rehabilitation or to allow the main caregiver to take a well earned break.

Our services work well in this respect, as we are able to mirror the current care that you have in place – whether its round the clock live in assistance or occasional pop in care and companionship. Because all of our care is provided in the comfort of yours or your loved one’s home, they benefit from that continuity of environment and routine that is so difficult to replicate in a care home setting.

We support many families who, as the main caregivers, choose to take a holiday break. We do recognise that taking care of a loved one care at times be both emotionally and physically tiring and that to provide the very best care you need to ensure you’re taking care of yourself. Through paying close attention to the detail of their routines we do our very best to ensure minimal disruption and impact is felt and so in turn, you can have complete peace of mind whilst you are away.

Available for a minimum of 1 week our respite care can be set up quickly, we would complete a full assessment and with your input, produce a comprehensive care plan. This can cover :-

Personal care – prompting medication, toileting, showering, helping in and out of bed

Housekeeping – cooking and meal prep, cleaning, laundry etc

Social – companionship, support to appointments / visit friends / excursions

Some families have one off periods of respite care, others will book regular sessions throughout the year. We also see some families use it as a trial to using our service on an ongoing basis.

Whatever your needs, speak to our team today to see how our respite care can help.
