Unique Senior Care in Shipston on Stour

Shipston on Stour, a thriving, rural market town in south Warwickshire is a great place to enjoy and is renowned as one of the best places to live.

We have a highly experienced team in Shipston on Stour who provide outstanding hourly domiciliary and live-in homecare that focusses on our elderly clients needs and is designed to enable them to remain living independently at home.

Our services range from domiciliary care including companionship, personal care and home help to live-in care and to specialist care for a wide range of conditions.

You are your loved one will be looked after with compassion, respect and dignity in the place you feel most comfortable ie your own home.

We directly employ all of our carers and they all test for COVID-19 every week and are fully DBS checked. They are highly qualified and continually receive quality training to ensure they develop hands-on experience that will ensure you or your loved one receives the very best care at home including hourly, specialist, respite or end of life/palliative care.

Unique Senior Care was opened by Philip Wright-Howarth and Philip Maundrill following their own personal experiences of organising care for family members who were living with Dementia and had a Learning Disability.

Their aim was learn from their experiences and provide a homecare service that ensured the organisation put ‘people above all else’ and consistently focused on delivery of elderly care to the very highest quality service

Our aim is to enable our clients (and their families) to live their lives better and easier, whether that be by helping with their early morning routine, preparing a meal, assisting with medication – or providing some companionship or support to allow you to attend a social event or pursue your interests.

What makes us different?

We don’t believe that quality care can be delivered in 15 or 30 minute slots – so our minimum call length is 1 hour.

We will never send a stranger – where possible, we will send the same person.

We will arrive when you expect us – and on time.

All of our front-line staff are tested weekly for COVID-19 using the gold standard PRC test.

Our reputation is very important to us, so, understandably our standards are un-compromising.

Our staff do not wear uniforms – we want them to look like a friend or family member when they are out and about with our clients.

All of our services are designed to allow you to remain living in the comfort of your own home.

Services

Services we offer in the Shipston on Stour area:

Hourly care

Our client’s needs are varied and unique; so our hourly homecare services are designed to be fully tailormade to their requirements.

Calls can be an hour or more a day to numerous calls through the week. We can also provide additional peace of mind by providing waking or sleeping nights should you be concerned about leaving your loved one alone overnight.

We can be available day and night to provide assistance with getting up in the morning, some home help, or a companionship call to spend time doing something you enjoy. If  a loved one has more specialist or complex needs such as Alzheimers, Parkinsons  or they have had a stroke, we can help

Our elderly care services are designed to meet your loved ones needs, so our care plans are bespoke, flexible and only put together following detailed discussion with our clients and their families to ensure we fit in with your loved ones needs and choices and achieve their desired outcomes.

Live-in and 24 hour Care

If you or your loved one require more care and support than an hourly service would cover, a Live-in or 24 hour solution may well be an alternative option to a residential or nursing home.

We are very experienced in providing a fully managed live-in care service which is able to provide 24 hour around the clock care for you or your loved one. This enables you to remain living at home, surrounded by everything that is important to you.

Utilising our highly experienced, directly employed carers, they will get to know your routine preferences, and then focus fully on your unique needs, and enable you to remain independent, in the knowledge that care and support is available when you require it

We take responsibility for all the day to day carer employment issues around pay, holidays, unexpected absence etc, so you will not have to worry about a thing!

Live-in care can also be a very cost-effective alternative to having to leave the comfort of your own home to move into a residential care or nursing home – particularly if a couple both require support.

Whatever care help and support you think you require, give us a call, we’re here to help. Call us on 0160 867 0366
