Companionship is a side of care often overlooked in the hustle and bustle of modern life.
Research conducted by Age UK suggests that almost a million older people in the UK go for more than a month without speaking to anyone. Older people are especially vulnerable to loneliness and social isolation, and it can have a serious effect on health.
Many of our clients don’t require help with day-to-day tasks like dressing or moving about their homes. Often they are therefore simply looking for company and friendship. Our unique care plan development carefully matches clients with their Caregivers to ensure that they have common interests and that their character traits are well matched.
Our care services start at a minimum of one hour. We believe that it is impossible to deliver a proper care service in a time slot shorter than this. Our Caregivers therefore have the chance to spend time with their clients free from the pressure of having to move on after a hurried 15 or 30-minute slot. As a result, they are able to develop meaningful relationships and truly get to know their clients.
