The Princess Royal Training Awards recognise and celebrate organisations across the United Kingdom which have demonstrated exceptional commitment to employee development. The prestigious award seeks to highlight the range and quality of development opportunities that exist in the industry.
“This award reflects the dedication, commitment and leadership of leaders and managers at every level across the organisation and we are so proud to receive it!” – Jo Cleary
Our vibrant learning and development programme includes workshops, registered manager induction and management safeguarding, along with autism and gender diversity training. The activities that were required within the awards application, included: personal development plans, management identifying talent and succession planning and forming training partnerships with other providers. Possibly the most significant outcome is the number of employees in leadership roles who have successfully been promoted from within. This includes 28/31 operational leaders (shift leaders, team leaders, care supervisors, RMs, care-coordinators, memory support and L&D). 27/28 of those promoted originally began with USC as caregivers. 4/5 RMs were recruited internally including 3 who started their journey as caregiver and worked and developed right through to leading their own teams and services.
Congratulations to the team for all of their hard work. If you are interested in joining our organisation with its award-winning opportunities, then click below to explore our roles.
