In Kaydeen's words..
My insights on supporting people at home
"I think the best care comes from taking the time to really listen to people and understand what helps them feel comfortable and supported.
For many clients, it’s the small things that matter most - feeling reassured, having familiar routines, and knowing someone is there who genuinely cares. I believe good care should help people feel confident and settled in their own home, not like their life has been taken over.
I also feel it’s important that Caregivers feel supported and appreciated. When people feel valued and confident in what they’re doing, it creates a much better experience for everyone involved."
How I got into my role
"I came into care after supporting a close family member, which gave me a personal understanding of how important good care and support can be.
That experience stayed with me and led me into a career in care more than 20 years ago. Since then, I’ve worked with many different clients and families and have always enjoyed building relationships and helping people feel more supported in their day-to-day lives.
What I enjoy most about my role now is getting to know people, supporting Caregivers, and seeing the positive difference that good care can make at home."
