We can help with:
Settling back in at home after surgery
We help make the first days and weeks at home safer and more comfortable, from getting settled after hospital discharge to keeping routines manageable while energy is low.
Support with moving around safely
Whether it’s help getting up, moving between rooms, or steadying support while confidence returns, we’re there to reduce strain and the risk of falls.
Meal preparation and light household help
Nutritious meals, drinks throughout the day, light cleaning, laundry, and keeping things tidy. Small jobs that can feel overwhelming after an operation.
Working alongside health professionals
We’re happy to support routines recommended by hospital teams or District Nurses, helping everything run smoothly at home.

Shopping and errands
We can help with food shopping, prescriptions, and everyday errands, so you don’t have to worry about running out while you recover.
Gentle companionship and reassurance
Having someone there can make a big difference, especially if you’re feeling tired, sore, or a bit unsure after surgery.
Short-term or longer-term post-operative care
Some people need help for a couple of weeks. Others benefit from ongoing support if recovery takes longer. Care can reduce or continue and there’s no fixed timetable.
Personal care support while you recover
Help with washing, dressing, grooming, and other daily routines so you can stay comfortable and focus on healing.
How our post-operative care works
Our post-operative care is built around recovery to help you or your loved one get back on their feet. Some people contact us before surgery to plan support in advance. Others call once they know when discharge is likely. Either way, we take time to understand what will make life easier once you’re home.
Support might begin with a few hours a day, helping with meals, moving around, and keeping on top of essentials, then gradually reduce as strength and confidence return. If recovery is slower, care can continue without disruption.
You’ll be matched with a consistent Carer who gets to know your routine and preferences. They’re part of our employed care team, not agency staff, and are supported by regular check-ins to make sure care continues to feel right as needs change.

Why choose Unique Senior Care?
Fully Managed Care
You get a fully managed service, not an agency. Every caregiver is employed, trained and supported so you can feel confident about who’s coming into your home.

Dementia care expertise
If you’re living with dementia, you have carers with specialist training who understand how to make each day safer, calmer and more comfortable.
Award-winning training
Your caregivers are trained to the highest standards. Our Princess Royal Training Award recognises the in-depth, face-to-face training that helps them give the best support.

Top-rated by families
You’re in safe hands. Families have rated us a Top 20 Homecare Provider on Homecare.co.uk every year for the last five years.
Regular face-to-face visits
From your first meeting onwards, you have regular in-person touchpoints. We check in, listen and make sure your care plan always fits your needs.

Care that’s personal to you
We get to know your routines, preferences and personality - then match you with your ideal carer, so you can build a relationship that feels natural and consistent.
