My mum’s got all her things around her, she’s got more freedom and 1-1 with the carers. She sleeps better, eats better, is more content and can go out when she likes.

The onboarding was made particularly easy, and the selection of a small team of carers made the process both easy for ourselves and, more importantly, for mum. The team in Kenilworth are thorough, proactive and communication between the parties has been excellent. Thank you for helping mum get the most enjoyment from continuing to live independently (with a little help!) at home.

C K (Son of Client)

All four carers that have helped me with my husband, who has advanced Dementia, could not be kinder. One plays cards with him so patiently, one cleans windows beautifully, and two notice things that may not be on the list I leave and just do them. I would not be happy or able to continue with my hobby if I did not feel comfortable leaving my husband with all these lovely carers.

L P (Client)

The carers have been great with her (Mum), gently encouraging her to mobilise, listening to her wishes and keeping her safe whilst she is out (Mum would otherwise get lost)... they were lovely once again at gently encouraging Mum within her flat, despite the fact that this support was not always welcomed by Mum initially! As a family we have always felt supported by the admin team at USC.

A B (Daughter of Client)

Our carer was outstanding. She performed all of her tasks with enthusiasm, care and attention to detail. She also knew, without prompting, when to be with us and when to give us some privacy. This was our first experience of live-in care, and it couldn't have been better.

John R (Client)

My mum had become more and more reliant on me or friends to ensure she was safe, fed and her needs met. They came along after the local council's crisis team... my mum's mood was lifted when any of their team had visited. I will be forever grateful for the improvement they brought to my mum and the pressure they took off me.

Phil T (Son of Client)

Having been discharged from hospital my father was in need of additional care support... Unique Senior Care came to our rescue. I cannot thank the team enough for the outstanding care and support... The transition from hospital to home was a worrying time... but the carers quickly put our minds at ease with their kindness, professionalism and genuine compassion.

What is live-in care in Warwickshire?

Live-in care provides round-the-clock support from a professional Caregiver who stays in your home. It’s a practical alternative to a care home in Warwickshire, allowing you or your loved one to receive continuous, tailored support in familiar surroundings.

Is 24-hour live-In care suitable for my loved one?

Live-in care is a great option for those who need ongoing support but want to stay in the place they know and love. Whether your loved one enjoys the historic streets of Kenilworth or the market town charm of Southam, they can continue their usual routines while receiving the care they need at home.

This type of support is especially beneficial for those with long-term health conditions, limited mobility, or anyone who values daily assistance and companionship. With a dedicated Caregiver by their side, they can maintain their independence and quality of life in familiar surroundings.

The difference between live-in care at home and residential care

Residential care

  • Care is delivered in a shared communal setting.

  • Can require adjustment to a new living space.

  • Provides structured support and social activities.

  • Involves communal living with set routines.

  • Family involvement may follow visiting schedules.

What our pricing includes

  • Tailored care plans to meet individual needs
  • Emotional support and companionship
  • Help with daily activities: personal care, meal prep, light housework, and medication management
  • Specialist care for complex conditions like dementia and Parkinson’s
  • Regular check-ins and updates with family members
  • 24/7 support from a dedicated Care Manager
  • No minimum term or lengthy contracts

Why costs vary?

Several factors can affect live-in care pricing:

  • Regional factors

Costs can vary by area, with higher prices often found where demand for care is greater and local living costs are higher.

  • Care requirements

More intensive care, especially for complex conditions, increases costs due to the need for specialist support.

  • Type of provider

Regulated providers, overseen by the CQC, may charge more due to strict standards and detailed care management.

Funding support for live-in care

There are two main sources of funding support for live-in care:

  • Local authority contribution: Financial support may be offered, dependent on an assessment of care needs and financial circumstances.

  • NHS continuing healthcare:This covers all costs for those with substantial medical needs, following an NHS eligibility assessment.

Other financial support

Some benefits help with extra costs for health or disability:

  • Attendance allowance:  Weekly payments available for those over State Pension age who need assistance due to health or disability issues.

  • Personal Independence Payment (PIP): Financial support for those aged 16 to State Pension age with ongoing health conditions or disabilities
